About Me

Peter is an innovative P3M Specialist with extensive international experience leading change in project,
programme, PMO, and portfolio management environments across a breadth of industries. Peter has
successfully delivered business change and turnaround programmes resulting in a sea-change in the capability of
high-profile project management communities.
Peter brings value to any P3M environment, utilising his broad and deep knowledge and experience Peter excels
in the development and assessment of P3M management communities globally. Peter has taught, advised,
mentored, and coached Senior Leadership Teams within leading international companies and governments
including the creation of bespoke project management methodologies and business lifecycles to improve
business operations.
Peter is adept at successful delivery and co-ordination of programmes and projects including the management of
their inter-dependencies, stakeholders, and customers at all levels of seniority. He is currently leading a large
Integrated Project Team in a combined role as Deputy Director Whole Programme and Head of Programme and
Project Controls for the construction of the world’s first industrial-sized Nuclear Fusion Reactor sited in the UK.
This is a first of a kind £40Bn programme within which Peter has also been operating as Head of PM Profession.
Prior to this, Peter directed the structure, governance, lifecycle and process creation covering project and
programme management, within the Office of Project Delivery on behalf of the Welsh Treasury. With his extensive
cross-sector experience in Project Management, consultancy, and learning development across multiple
industries, Peter’s work also spans other national, departmental, and local UK government projects.
In construction, he held senior roles such as Head of Project Management at Balfour Beatty and Principal
Consultant at Kier. In the oil and gas sector, he managed high-level projects for companies like BP,
Gasco/ADNOC, Saudi Aramco, Kuwait Petroleum, and Daleel Oil Oman, serving in leadership roles including
General Manager and Director of Projects. His nuclear experience includes senior programme and project
controls roles in both fusion and fission sectors, as well as training leadership. He has contributed to defense and
aerospace projects with organisations like QinetiQ, the UK and Oman Ministries of Defense, and Rolls Royce.
Additionally, Peter served as a learning consultant for major pharmaceutical and chemical firms such as
AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Roche, and directed learning programmes for top financial institutions including Lloyds,
Barclays and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
