Bid Manager – Public Sector Transport

On-site with flexibility – Nottingham

Up to £75,000

Are you ready to take the lead on major UK public sector bids and shape the future of intelligent transport?

We’re looking for a Bid Manager to join a growing organisation at the forefront of public transport technology. This onsite role (based in Nottingham with some flexible home working) offers the chance to lead complex, high-value tenders from start to finish.

You’ll be the driving force behind the bid lifecycle – from qualification and stakeholder engagement to proposal creation and submission. Your work will directly impact the transformation of sustainable transport in the UK, while collaborating with a wider international team across the UK, Germany, and Ireland.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing end-to-end bids for major public sector transport projects
  • Creating structured, compelling, and compliant proposals
  • Working closely with commercial and technical teams across borders
  • Building pricing models and analysing risk
  • Shaping win strategies and improving bid processes

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience managing public sector bids (transport, engineering, or tech preferred)
  • Is confident running complex submissions under tight deadlines
  • Brings strong commercial awareness and financial modelling skills
  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and professionally with senior stakeholders
  • Is highly organised, self-motivated, and ready to grow into a leadership role
