Product Owner / Data Strategy and Migration Planning.
Developing a cloud migration strategy for a legacy middleware application which had evolved to become too difficult for the business to understand. Performing deep-dive analysis of the system code and and connecting to its surrounding integrations, I rapidly achieved a high-level of expertise in the system's functionality. Using diagrams for illustration, I thoroughly documented these data flows and integration points. Through log and data analysis, I then identified obsolete data-flows marking these on the same diagram, resulting in a complete picture of what should and shouldn't be migrated. Then, with a small Avanade team, and through consultation with key business stakeholders I developed a complete and coherent migration strategy and detailed project plan which achieved Architecture Board ratification.

I had overall responsibility for translating the legal language into a series of diagrams and precise requirement specifications, ensuring the developers had clear, precise information with which to work. • Group M: Lead Business Systems Analyst and Testing Lead for: ◦ Vision – Online Search and Advertising data analytics. Overall responsibility for extremely complex system and data requirements; some partly reverse-engineered from a previous, failed implementation attempt. ◦ Credit Risk Platform – Working closely with senior stakeholders, I designed clear, intuitive data visualisations for a credit-risk platform through close collaboration with senior financial managers. System usage improved considerably following these innovations.
